Wowww...

That was probably the most beautiful episode of Doctor Who I've ever seen. We got the sunflowers, the wheatfield, a starry night, and replicas of Vincent's room and the cafe terrace.

Vincent himself was brilliantly realised, and the way he twigged Amy was sad about something, even though she's got no memory of what's making her sad was a nice touch. And the final scenes of the Doctor taking Vincent to 2010 to see his art being appreciated was a joy.

In fact, it's almost a shame there was an invisible monster killing people. It seemed to get in the way of the actual story.

But, without the invisible monster, there wouldn't've been a story to be had.

I liked the slip, when Doctor called Vincent Rory. "Amy, Rory. Eh, Vincent". Brilliant.

I loved it all, invisible owlbear monster and all. I cried.

Owlbear. That's it. Thank you. That had been bugging me.

(And now I've finally got round to watching this, I can go online again).

In the bit where Amy was sad about something, Rory was what sprang to mind. Though in light of the ending, I realised it would also work if she was remembering what will happen to Vincent — and of course, she couldn't tell him that, either.
