I don't believe in censorship, but if I did...

The Discworld series. Because that's how you get teenagers interested in something.

Well, there's loudly and publically banning something, which makes it instantly reader-bait, or there's quietly not stocking it in the first place.

I am not entirely convinced, for instance, that a book entitled 101 property-destroying pranks you can pull with materials and tools found around the average high school should be particularly far up the list of books a high school library might be able to find itself having funding for.

However, a book entitled 101 interesting chemistry and physics experiments with much the same information in its pages, could be seen as a test to determine which students have the mental agility to make the necessary connections. And if a couple of windows get blown out in the quest for SCIENCE!, it's a small price to pay.

Cunning!

And, no, I don't believe in censorship. Librarians are supposed to make information available to people. You just need to make sure you shelve it in the right place and try not to buy too many 'DIY Guides to Terrrorism'. But American High Schools... it's traditional to ban everything, often against the will of the librarian, who bought it in the first place. From what I gather. *sigh*
