scarfman told me a while back I could look forward to a Smallville episode with Erica Durance playing Chloe. He didn't mention it also introduced a new Justice Leaguer 8-).

Zatanna is a brilliant addition to the League, and there were so many nods to the comics version; from the costume (complete with top hat and fishnets) to the references to Zatara and Shadowcrest, that I was half-surprised the ep wasn't written by Paul Dini 8-). Her not having her full array of powers without the book was a nice idea (and saved them having to write too much backwards dialogue).

Durance's Chloe was brilliantly done, and I particularly liked Durance-playing-Chloe-playing-Lois, which must be tricky. (The scene where she suddenly remembers she's supposed to call Clark "Smallville" was brilliant).

I was also pleased to be wrongfooted by Clark's wish (I expected him to lose his powers, not his memory of them).

Chloe going back to her Oracle-esque role as Watchtower is nice (are they doing another JL webcast?) but does this mean she's abandoning the Isis Foundation, or is she going to juggle them? Assuming the warring writers don't undo everything next week, I assume we'll find out then...
