Just checking; if I'm writing a work set shortly after and about the canonical death of a major character, does that count as Major Character Death?

I think only you can decide, really? Certainly even if not you would probably want to tag it for references to it.

I'd tag that as Canon Character Death otherwise folks will think you are having another character die too. Just me though.
