As the Lower Sixth trooped back to class, Zoe caught up with Jamie “So where have you and Pat been all lunchbreak?”
“Sorry, I ken we were all gonae hae lunch together, but we got distracted by goin roond the playground findin monsters.”
“Oh, you finally got a smartphone, then? I must say there are less frivolous uses for it than playing Pokemon G…” She broke off as she saw Jamie’s perplexed expression. “You haven’t got a smartphone, have you?”
“Nae idea what ye’re talkin aboot.”
“So, you and Pat were actually finding monsters?”
“Is that no’ what I said?"
