Crossover fanfic idea. A murder is committed outside a transatlantic police convention. Lestrade, Japp, Cramer, Gordon, Gilks and Tupper pool their resources to solve the crime without the aid of any smartarse amateurs.

I'd read it if it turned out they all admitted that they weren't up to it and were at the mercy of forces riddled with corruption and incompetence. Sorry, being a downer, I was reading a book on the Birmingham Six earlier this week and it has left me a bit jaded about the cops. Besides, we all know that it would end with Jim Taggart stepping in at the last minute and solving it. :)
