Yeah, that took longer than I thought. I found myself utterly stymmied by the first question, moved on to the others, and then kept thinking "But I don't have an answer for the first one yet". And I still don't.

The characters were:

1. Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Ultimate Spidey cartoon)
2. Seventh Doctor (Doctor Who)
3. Granny Weatherwax (Discworld)
4. Father Dougal Maguire (Father Ted)
5. Larfleeze/Agent Orange (Green Lantern comics)
6. Random Dent (The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy)
7. Chris Cwej (Doctor Who New Adventures)
8. Martin McCabe (Absolute Power)
9. Lt Cmdr Data (Star Trek: The Next Generation)
10. Amy Pond (Doctor Who)
11. Ebenezer Scrumph (I'm Sorry I Haven't A Christmas Carol)
12. Barbara Gordon/Oracle (Batman comics)
13. Luigi (Super Mario Brothers)
14. Rev Geraldine Granger (The Vicar of Dibbley)
15. Constable Wee Mad Arthur Mac Feegle (Discworld)

You have no idea how disappointed I am that no-one went for 11 silly I feel about my inability to keep track of numbers.

[livejournal.com profile] rhiannon_s asked:

Number 1 and Number 2 go to the movies, what do they see?
Ultimate Peter Parker and the Seventh Doctor

I don't know why it's so hard for me to come up with an answer to this, but it is. Maybe it's because the idea of the Seventh Doctor going to the movies is boggling enough, without adding that it has to be a film that will also appeal to a teenager with possible ADHD.

ETA: Okay, I've worked it out. They're going to see the latest sci-fi blockbuster. Peter is going because, well, it's the latest sci-fi blockbuster, and the Doctor is going because it's actually a heavily disguised account of an adventure he's going to have, and beneath all the explosions and action set-pieces are hidden the key points in how he'll defeat the monsters.

Numbers 7, 12, and 4 find themselves in the lost city of Atlantis, what is their reaction.
Chris Cwej, Babs Gordon and Father Dougal

"Wow!" said Chris, looking round, "This is so cool! Do you think it's genuine?"

"This is definitely a lost city of Atlantis", said Barbara, "The architecture matches images I've seen of Aquaman's Poseidonis. I'm uploading the coordinates to the JLA Watchtower for him now."

Dougal looked puzzled. "So it's a city, and it's underwater, then?"

"Uh, yes," said Chris.

"So how did the fellas living here breathe?"

"Well, it wasn't underwater when it was built," Barbara explained patiently. "Aquaman's people used magic to become water-breathers, but this city looks like it was abandoned long before that."

"Ah, right," Dougal nodded. "So would they have had some kind of scuba equipment?"

Number 8 gets kidnapped by aliens, what is the first thing he says to them.
Martin McCabe

Martin looked round the craft. "I don't suppose I could trouble you awfully for a glass of claret?" he asked.

The alien blinked. "Do you realise where you are, human?" it demanded.

"Yes, yes, alien spaceship. All terribly impressive. But I do think it would be easier for me to get a handle on the situation with a small claret. Or indeed a large one."

"I have power you cannot dream of, human! You will cower before me!"

Martin shook his head. "I hope you don't think that sort of ranting impresses me; I can assure you I'm very used to it. Have you met Charles?"

[livejournal.com profile] pedanther asked:

What role does 9 play in 13's cunning plan?
Data and Luigi

Hmm, it's kind of hard to imagine Luigi having a cunning plan. Probably to stand in front of him in his haunted mansion to a) phaser the ghosts and b) soak up damage from the ones that get past.

5, 10 and 15 go camping. Which takes to life in the woods, which spends the whole time wanting to go home, and which gets attack by wild animals and/or falls into the poison ivy?
Larfleeze, Amy and Wee Mad Arthur

Wee Mad Arthur naturally takes to life in the woods; he's a Feegle after all. Amy, travel journalist and DW companion, does almost as well. And Larfleeze alternates between wishing he was home because "there's nothing here worth taking", and trying to take it anyway ... which leads to him being attacked by animals and falling into poison ivy.

Why is 6 afraid of 7?
Random Dent and Chris Cwej

"Afraid of" is possibly overstating it; more "inclined to throw rocks at". And it's because he's an Ajudicator, and she's technically stolen at least one spaceship.

[livejournal.com profile] john_elliott asked:

11 attempts to murder 13. Where, with what weapon, and do they succeed?
Data and Luigi

Data, of course, can't actually murder anyone, unless provoked beyond reason, as in "The Most Toys". If we assume the afformentioned cunning plan had elements that made it sufficient motivation, then the where would be in the mansion, and the means would be the disintegrate setting on his phaser; clean and efficient. Of course, Luigi would just reappear at the start of the level, so he wouldn't have succeeded as such.

11, of course, isn't Data. Hang on, a replacement answer will be along shortly.

Okay, here we go:
Ebenezer Scrumph and Luigi

Scrumph would probably murder Luigi just outside the Old Music Shop, where the constant cries of "Mama mia!" were getting on his nerves. Bludgeoning him to death with his trumpet, he would fail to get away with it because of it being blindingly obvious it was him. Sentenced to hang, he would spend his afterlife in torment; listening to the ghost of Jeremy Marley attempt to sing one song to the tune of anything at all. And, again, Luigi would reappear at the start of the level, none the worse for wear.

Whew! sorted.

3, 4 and 14 are trapped in a broken lift. When rescue arrives, are they still there, and in what state?
Granny Weatherwax, Father Dougal and Geraldine Granger

Granny is there in body but not in spirit, having Borrowed the nearest animal to get help in the first place. Geraldine is demanding chocolate, and Dougal is in so much of a hyperventilating panic that it takes ten minutes for them to get through to him that he's been rescued.

[livejournal.com profile] lost_spook asked:

6 and 13 decide to take over the universe. Only 4 can stop them! How doomed is the universe?
Random, Luigi and Dougal

Extremely darn doomed, I'd say. I'm not sure what Luigi adds to the party but if Random decides she wants to take over the universe, I can't see Father Dougal stopping her.

10 goes on a blind date with 2.
Amy and Seventh.

Oh dear ... Well, Amy, at some point before she's engaged, is intrigued by this guy who reminds her so much of her Raggedy Doctor. Then she finds out why, and it turns out he's actually using her to manipulate his future self into being in a certain place at a certain time. So she wallops him. Ace cheers her on.

Wasn't Data 9 a moment ago?

Thanks! I'm quite pleased with it myself. An alien spaceship just seemed like such a wonderful test of his bloody-minded determination never to be impressed by anything.
