Not been doing much fanfic lately, but I suddenly remembered I always wanted to do a "Really Stretching UNIT Dating" story set in the Roman Empire. (When what I should have remembered is that I've supposedly been working on a Storytime! since 2008, but there we go...)

So I spent a happy hour or so involved in research, coming up with funny names and period-appropriate descriptions, and trying to work out if Brigadier was equivalent to Legate or Tribune.

And then I realised the one thing I was forgetting. A story...

Can't you just make up a vaguely interesting concept and then pad it out over six episodes chapters and then have it turn out to be The Master all along? I mean, if you're shooting for authenticity...
