Interesting episode, with some good plays on comics mythology.
Alexander is Conner! I should maybe have twigged this when "Beacon" ended with him developing superpowers, but I'm used to Kon-El being a clone of Superman who later turns out to have Luthor DNA, so switching it round threw me.
The idea he's lost all his memories of being Lex is a bit of a cheat, but does mean they can start again with him having a personality more in line with the comicbook Conner. (No tactile telekinesis, though.) And it's nice that Clark doesn't have any qualms about trusting Conner any more. Indeed, to Tess's horror, he's even prepared to give Lionel a chance at redemption; after all, "our" Lionel was one of the good guys when he died.
Lionel using the Red-K ring to bring out Conner's "Lex" side was clever. At first I thought it was a dumb thing to do because Red-K makes people harder to control, but that's the way Lionel thinks: he wants a son who's prepared to kill him. It's also kind of riffing on the Teen Titans storyline where Lex turns out to have a switch in Conner's head that turns him evil.
Not at all sure about Evil Universe Lionel having reversed fingerprints; if it was the Antimatter Earth-3 of the comics, where everything is reversed, then sure, but I thought the only real differences between these two universes were that Tess and Clark were raised by Lionel. But it gets the job done of ousting Lionel from Luthorcorp, and putting him in a position where he's desperate enough to work for Darkseid, so I'm not going to complain too much.
