I'm no doctor, but I strongly suspect that was preposterous.

The morphic field stuff didn't bother me; it's pseudoscientific gibberish, but if you're going to complain about pseudoscientific gibberish in the Whoniverse, you may be following the wrong franchise.

Similarly, I twitched a bit about the idea that everyone is still aging, but not dying (although full marks for using shortened telemers to measure this), but it's not really any dafter than getting blown up and not dying, which I accept as Weird Alien Stuff.

But McGyvering a cure for arsenic out of common aircraft substances? Really?

(I am aware this puts me in the same position as some of my sisters' friends re: Akira. They were fine with the psychic powers, but explained in great detail how a motorbike couldn't have a reverse gear. But darnit, it's often the small stuff that breaks suspension of disbelief. There's probably a TVTropes page about it.)

Anyway, besides that, this is an exercise in putting Esther and Rex where we knew they were ending up, on the Torchwood team. And it does this by the tried and true method of Discovering Their Investigation Leads To Their Own Bosses. Well, "Discovering" may be a bit strong; Esther gets it telegraphed to her, and Rex even misses the telegraphing and needs Esther to explain it to him.

It turns out that, contrary to the impression we were given last week, Rex didn't actually arrange an extradition single-handedly in less than a day. And I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Rhys, which may mean we're returning to Wales at some point.

Still haven't decided if PR Woman is going to be the main baddie with Danes as her dupe, or the other way round. Since she also works for PhiCorp (which I know is sinister from its constant mention in the previews, even though that was the only time it got mentioned in the actual episode), the former currently looks more likely.

I suspect the motorcycles simply aren't trying hard enough and should buck their ideas up a bit. They know they could do it if they wanted, laziness I call it making riders have to get off and lead it around.
