Listening to the House to Astonish comics podcast, and they start talking about the upcoming Buffy Season 9. And Paul O'Brien says that what finally won him over in the last issue of Season 8 was the text page where "Joss Whedon basically says 'You know all those things that didn't work in Season 8? I know! They won't be in Season 9!'"

That's what we in the communications business call a 'lie'.

I've seen a preview panel of S9 showing what is supposed to be a London street. It has cobbles, a US-style fire hydrant, American-style street names, and a road sign of a shape only used in America. Season 9 will continue to show the complete and utter ignorance of the world outside America which was the worst of Season 8's myriad failings. And I know that Georges 'worst artist the world has seen since the Ordovician–Silurian extinction event' Jeanty is signed up for Season 9.

Season 8 was bad beyond the capacity of the English language to describe. I am confident that Season 9 will be at least as bad and quite probably worse.
