Ah! Zod Junior is a clone. Well that explains ... some things. A bit.
Pretty cool episode. Apparently we're meant to completely ignore the fact Tom Welling played Young Jor-El in "Relic", but Julian Sands is much more believable as a younger version of Terrance Stamp's disembodied voice so that's okay. Lots of nice references: the Black Zero terrorist organisation is from John Byrne's World of Krypton; Zod and Jor-El starting out as friends is from recent comics; and obviously the Kryptonian courtroom is straight out of The Motion Picture, complete with Jor-El's flurescent outfit.
Cassidy Freeman is really good at conveying that everything is going according to Tess's plan and nobody else realises it. Her expression when she realises Zod thinks Jor-El is the Blur is perfect.
