Well, first of all, let's get this out of the way:
AAAARGH!! They used the stupid "DOCTOR DW WHO" version of the logo!!! Ruined FOREVER!!!!
Ahem. Well, I suppose I'll get used to it. But seriously, what's the point of announcing a logo I like, and then using a slightly different logo I don't like? (Yes, I know, I am not the whole of fandom, but the impression I get is that a lot of people feel the same way.)
The episode itself? I liked it. The Doctor's first meeting with Amy was clever, and so was the version of "the Doctor sees his new face for the first time". Establishing the Doctor as still being the Doctor in the absence of anyone who knew the Tenth was done quite well, although the hologram of past incarnations was maybe pushing it slightly. (In a cleverer continuity nod, this is the third time the Doctor has stolen his clothes from a hospital.)
Glad that Karen Gillan gets to be Scottish (since pre-publicity had been very vague about this). And I think we all knew that couldn't possibly be intended as a real police uniform. The final scene is a nice twist - although given how vague she is about Rory even being her boyfriend, it's a bit out of nowhere to reveal that he's actually her fiance (or is he?)
Looking forward to next week's...
