*Last* week's Merlin
Nov. 22nd, 2008 06:06 pmJust realised I'd worked out a post in my head, but never actually wrote it...
Well, it was another mythology-heavy episode. We learn the origin of Excalibur, and why it was in the Lake in the first place. We also meet Sir Owain and Sir Pellinore, although they get killed by Nimueh's undead knight before we get any mention of lions, chess games or Questing Beasts. Which is a shame.
And we finally learn what Nimueh did that led to Uther hating magic, which has the interesting affect of simultaneously humanising him and making him seem more unreasonable. My suspicions that she was Arthur's real mother turn out to be wrong, but I was in the right area.
