Thing I learnt from the Stephenie Meyer "Write Stuff"

The programme described Meyer as a "housewife" when Twilight was accepted, which surprised me enough to look her up on Wikipedia

She's three years older than me! I was under the assumption she was a teenager herself, which would excuse the books somewhat, just as some allowances are made for Eragon when you learn it was written by a fifteen year old.

(Only some allowances; it's perfectly possible for teenagers to write decent books, for example The Chronicles of Narmo by Caitlin Moran.)

Grrr!

Some moron has been vandalising the "You Know That Thing Where..." section on TVTropes. I tried to fix a couple of entries, but he just re-vandalised them. Apparently there's no mechanism in place to ban him, because he hasn't worked over an actual entry, just the YKTTW.

And now the whole site appears to be down, presumably while Steps Are Taken. I'm sure the troll finds the possibilty that he broke the wiki to be highly amusing.

Edit: Well, he's banned now. Actually, now I think about it, I'm not sure the site appearing to be down was related, or was even at their end rather than just my computer playing up again.
