On Friday, someone made a chemical attack on a mosque full of kids.

I'm too horrified by this to comment intelligently on it.

Since it doesn't look like anyone else is going to have a go, here are the answers.

The winner was [livejournal.com profile] speakr2customrs, who recognised all the Runrig stuff and a few others and scores 10 1/2. In second place is [livejournal.com profile] sabremeister, who got all three From The Discworld tracks and scores 3. Third place is [livejournal.com profile] curiouswombat, with 1 point for getting "Both Sides The Tweed", and [livejournal.com profile] cat63, and [livejournal.com profile] silly_swordsman both get half a point for recognising "A Wizard's Staff", but not naming any of the people involved.

As you may have realised, most of them were folky. I was surprised no-one recognised the main exception, Mitch Benn, since I think most of my friends-list have the right sense of humour for him. (The randomiser also picked up a few They Might Be Giants songs, but in every case, the opening line was the title, and nothing else.)

While it seems most of you don't share my taste in music, I hope you're intrigued enough to have a listen to them if you get an opportunity 8-).

Apart from the Fairport Convention one, all the artists who only appear once came from a Celtic Connections CD that came free with the Glasgow Herald.
