Smallville Lazarus

Yep, it's back.
First off, Lois now knows. And about time too. Sadly, it means she goes off to prevent the Blur being distracted by her, but I'm sure that'll get sorted out before the finale.
Nice continuity nod to the first episode with the crucifix; first in Clark's NDE, and then when Luthorclone recreates it with Lois. And a nice lampshade hanging when Luthorclone points out that the Smallville-S painted on Clark's chest is very similar to the Crest of El he now wears proudly.
The Insane Clone plot worked quite well; the Orlock-like clone appears to be loosely modeled on Lex Luthor II in the final stages of clone degradation, but without the real Lex's brain (that was what was supposed to happen, but he got blown up first[1]).
And Project Cadmus, which I think was a throwaway reference in season 1 or 2, finally makes a proper appearance! Dare we hope for Dubbilex or the Newsboys? Well, since the Project here exists soley to produce Luthor clones, probably not. Unless Dubbilex is a Luthor clone in this continuity. (He's bald and has "lex" in his name; it totally works!)
Alexander seems like a nice kid; basically a reification of the Alexander who represented Lex's good side when Clark went into his mind in season 7[2]. The scene suggesting Tess has sort-of-adopted him was cute.
The Ollie/Chloe subplot is intriguing. I'm guessing unnamed-torturer-in-bright-orange-shirt is a comics character who wears an orange costume, because that's the only explanation I can see for that shirt.
I've given up expecting Jor-El's stated motivations to remain consistent from one episode to the next, but could we shoot for consistent within one episode? How does "If you die now, your friends will face their greatest evil without you" become "You are the great evil I warned of"? Anyway, now the Fortress is shut off again, and presumably this will all turn out to be another of his "tests".
Disappointed that the costume[3] went directly from a box on Clark's bed to encased in the Fortress, leaving Clark still in black. On the other hand, he flew, so that's something.
The ghost of Jonathan appearing to give Clark good advice was a nice twist ... or would have been if John Schneider's name hadn't appeared at the start.
And what's the real great evil (because Jor-El is, as usual, lying)? Darkseid is.
[1] Sure he did...
[2] I assume the only reason he's not played by the same actor is because he needs to be even younger for some reason.
[3] The Superman Returns costume? Brave choice...
