DWM Christmas Quiz

daibhidcI've never done very well at this. But I got totally flummoxed by the first question, even once I knew the answer. It sounds simple but there are enough "almost" examples to easily confuse the easily confused.
Q. What connects The Myth Makers, Spearhead Fom Space Rose, and no others?
A. They are the only episodes in which none of the cast of the previous episode return.
Now at first glance that seems reasonable - two entirely new ensembles of regulars, and the story after Dalek Cutaway, which doesn't feature the regulars at all. The first "But what about..." that occured to me was that there were two other stories with entirely new ensembles - I quickly dismissed the TVM because Sylv was in it, but it took me embarrasingly long to twig that, equally, Matt was in last few seconds of The End Of Time. (The Second Doctor's regeneration scene ends without us seeing his new face, and of course we never see Eighth turn into Ninth at all.)
And then I thought "But if Myth Makers counts because of Dalek Cutaway, shouldn't Dalek Cutaway count as well, because no-one in that was in Galaxy Four?" But apparently Galaxy Four ends with Vicki randomly directing the audience at a planet, and a cut to Garvey in the opening scene of Cutaway. So it just misses as well.
