Yeah. OTOH, they also did an epic-fantasy-quest Elseworld called League of Justice (a lot less odd and, IMO, therefore not nearly as interesting). And, come to think of it, the New Titans Elseworld Annual was set in the fantasy kingdom of N'Yarque, with Raven as the Dark Lord.
And there were two "literature-character-replacement" exercises based directly on Frankenstein (albeit ones that took the story in very different directions), so repetition clearly isn't considered that much of a problem...
(And while I couldn't resist the pun of Ghy the gardener, the "Sam will kill him if he tries anything" role really ought to go to Terry 8-)...)
