White, milk or dark chocolate? Milk for preference, then both others equally, then anything vaguely chocolate flavoured...
Perfect tattoo? Syntax error; adjective does not agree with noun!
Did you grow up in a small town or big city? I grew up on a council estate I thought of as a tiny village, but which despite being surrounded by fields was officially part of a small town, which is now a small city...
Pirates or Ninjas? There's a cool ninja moment in The Muppets, but they did an entire film about pirates.
Do you get excited when you see a swing? Little bit.
What is your favourite part of your personality? My sense that I ought to be nice to people.
What is the least favourite part of your personality? My inability to speak to people in order to be nice to them, out of fear that I accidentally won't be.
Madonna or Lady GaGa? Nope.
Have you ever watched the Super Bowl all the way through? I only know the Super Bowl is happening when an American webfriend mentions it.
Have you ever watched a major sporting event while drunk? No, because I do neither.
What’s the most delicious food you have ever eaten? Gran's home-made banoffee pie.
Which continents have you been on? I can never keep track, is Russia considered Europe or Asia? If the former, one; if the latter, two.
Do you get motion sickness? Want to share a story about it? Yep. Haven't actually thrown up in a car since I was a kid, but on a tour of Europe about 15 years ago, I spent most of the ferry trips lying on my bunk controlling my breathing, occasionally emerging to slowly sip a cup of sweet tea while sitting very still.
Backpack or satchel? Backpack, as followers of the Pro-Fun Hoedowns will be aware.
Would you wear a rainbow jacket, neon yellow sweater and checkered pants? Over the years I've developed, if not a sense of style, as such, a sense of what clothes would attract that most terrifying of things, attention. I'm not saying I wouldn't, just not if I was going out anywhere.
Favorite cartoon growing up? The Real Ghostbusters.
If you had to look at one city skyline for the rest of your life – what would it be? Since I rarely look up from the book/TV/computer, I don't mind. The London skyline is quite nice, as long as I could look at it while still living here.
Longest plane ride you have ever been on? The only time I've been on a plane was the school trip to Russia alluded to above. On the hop from Inverness to London it turned out I wasn't a happy flyer, and then the main leg of the trip turned out to be in a rickety-looking Aeroflot crate. However long it was, it felt longer...
Longest trip by car? I have vague recollections that the family once drove down to London, but that strikes me as completely insane, so maybe we didn't. We've definitely driven to Edinburgh on a regular basis, so roughly 120 miles.
Dream car Don't drive.
Do you like to sleep late on your off days? Define "off days"...
Did you attend a small liberal arts college or a public university? As I understand the term, we don't exactly have liberal arts colleges in the UK. I attended a further education college (Inverness, now part of the University of the Highlands, but it wasn't then) and then a big university (Edinburgh).
Do you like horror movies? Nope, I've always been incredibly squeamish about such things. I couldn't even read Marvel Zombies.
Do you swear in front of your parents? No. Or not in front of them, really.
Do you use a reusable water bottle? Used to when I did tai-chi. There's one that clips onto my bike, but since I only ride it to the library or my sister's, I haven't needed it.
City or Country? Country. Ish.
Wine or beer? Irn Bru.
Sweet or Salty? Sweet.
Attend a concert or perform in the concert? Attend, I'm not exactly musical.
Do you play a musical instrument? See above. I can play something that roughly approximates the EastEnders theme on a keyboard.
Did you play sports as a kid? If I had to. Actually, I didn't always hate sports, and once tried out for the school football team. Then I hated sports...
